New singles + reviews
YOU BELONG WITH ME
Singer : Taylor swift
Since I heard FEARLESS, I'd always wanted YOU BELONG WITH ME to be released as a single.
The lyric is so 'teen-ish'..but this is the strength of this song. Teenager will love this song soon as they hear it. The lyric is soooo honest. Taylor used to be an outsider at her school, and she loved this guy who loved other girl. It reminds me of TEARDROPS ON MY GUITAR, but this is the upbeat version.
The melody is as fun as her OUR SONG....you can dance while you're listening to it...
FYI, "You Belong with Me" first charted on the Billboard Hot 100 (# 12) and Pop 100 (# 19) in 2008 based on downloads after its release as a digital single. Upon the song's release to country radio in April 2009, it debuted at #32 on the Hot Country Songs charts.
SIDEWAYS
Singer : Dierks Bentley
It's the second single from his current album, FEEL THAT FIRE. Dierks co-wrote this song.
SIDEWAYS is another tough song by Dierks. It's about a night-life-bar song (sorta).
MW likes this song...but compare to his previous one, it's a lil dull.....the lyric is not so clever and the beat is a lil too noisy.
It currently sits at # 13 Hot Country Song.
DEAD FLOWERS
Singer : Miranda Lambert
DEAD FLOWERS is a very new single by Ran. She performed it for the first time at 2009 ACM.
It's the lead single off her highly anticipated new album which i still don't know the title yet. Can anyone tell me?
Anyway, MW hearts hearts hearts this song. It's a failure-relationship-song. The lyric is awesome....the beat is marvelous...and Ran sings this song perfectly......
DEAD FLOWERS will hit iTunes on May 12th. Make sure you download!
This song made it's debut last week at Hot Country Chart at # 59.

MW :
This year's ACM ,which took place on 5 April 2009, was incredibly amazing!!
For the first time in 8 years, a woman crowned as Entertainer of The Year. Carrie Underwood brought home the most prestigious award as well as Female Vocalist Of The Year. Brad Paisley was the king that night. He swept 3 awards. Taylor Swift's Fearless won Best Album Of The Year. She's also awarded Crystal Milestone Award for her role in bringing back teens to country. Vocal Duo and Vocal Group were so predictable.
The show was opened by performances by Taylor, Brooks and Dunn, Sugarland, Carrie, and Rascal Flatts. MW's favourite performances were Carrie's powerful vocal for I Told You So, Taylor's fantastic entrance and performance, Kenny's Out Last Night, Sugarland's It Happens......It's just countless....The whole night was perfect!
